Evening hike at Móskarðshnjúkar mountain :) I went there with Icelandic hiking group that I joined for Laugavegur 3-days hike. Guðrún was so kind to give me a lift. We went there with her friends from work: Chinese woman and Brazilian guy. And the mountain appeared to be much more beautiful and stunning that I had expected!!! Indeed, it it so picturesque!! It lays within Esja mountain chain and now I realize that I can see it from my window, far away in the background. Every time I look at it I am remembering the hike, 6-7 km, in 3 hours :)

My anniversary: 1,5 year in Iceland and name day on July 6 :) It was very nice party with awesome sunset and sunrise. Weather was good for a barbecue and we tried it out for the first time!

Multicultural party with my Spanish, Chilean, Icelandic and Polish friends ;) 2 mixed couples, 3 kids on the terrace :)  
Now I am fluent to switch between 4 languages at one moment: English, Spanish, Polish, Icelandic.. no problem!!! :)))

it's time for summer party at Vesturgata! It's exactly 1,5 year since I moved to Iceland and I just realized that on Monday, July 6, is my 'name day'. So we have double reason to celebrate! :))))

Terrace is 40 m2, a lot of space for partying with beautiful view of the old harbour and Mt. Esja.
Just bring good humour, some drinks, maybe some food, and, if the weather allows, we will have a barbecue outside ;)

Address: Vesturgata xxx (attic). Just go through the gate to the backyard, climb the stairs to the red door (will be open) and climb more stairs till white door of the apartment (be prepare for a lot of climbing! ;)

Hiking magnificent Esja mountain :) July 5

Hiking Esja on Sunday, July 7.

Together with my Polish friends we joined Polish hiking club, very fresh initiative.

Hike was very nice, my second time there,  and here you can see some pics. Reykjavik seen from the Esja peak looks awesome!!!!! :))) I could even see my house downtown from the top! :)))

Mount Esja: Þverfellshorn peak.
Height: 914 m. 
Walking time (ascent): 2,20 hours. 
Increase in elevation: 830 m. 
Walking length: 7 km.

Mt. Esja is situated about 10 km to the north of Reykjavík. This volcanic mountain range has some very popular hiking routes nestled in its slopes. 

Into the west: Akrafjall, Hvalfjörður, Hraunfossar and lupins :) June 27-28
