On Sunday, November 2nd, there was a lot of sun and great visibility. Wonderful day to go outside the town to enjoy the beauty of Icelandic nature. I joined my two Polish friends, Darek and Michał, for a hiking excursion. We decided to go to Hengill again, extremely beautiful geothermal area east from Reykjavik, between Nesjavellir power plant and Thingvellavatn lake. We find some snow in the upper parts, but it was so sunny and bright that I couldn't believe my eyes!!! Amazing colours, shapes, great details and background landscape.. I was stopping every few minutes to take more photographs. It was much more beautiful that any picture can show so I wasn't that much happy with the pictures afterwards. With flow of time I am more eager to go through them again..
It was excellent trip. So happy, so excited! breathing deeply cold and fresh air, enjoying view of blue waters of Thingvellavatn and sunshine playing on my face. We made approx. 3 hours long hike in the area and went back to town. I hope there will be some opportunity to go hiking soon. I love to spend time outdoors, especially when the landscape is so unbelievably admirable :)
By the way, Michał (in yellow jacket) will be my flatmate in my new wooden house. Will move in after coming back from Poland, so I still have almost 3 more weeks only for myself ;)
