After 3 months of silence and some troubled times... it's just right time to introduce you my new wooden apartment with a huge terrace just by the harbour with amazing view of beautiful Mt. Esja :)
I still can't believe it's true! It was one of my dream and finally it has come true after 11 months since I moved here. Everything is possible in Iceland that's why I love to live here :)))
It's already 2 weeks since I moved to the attic apartment, I had to take the decision immediately, on the last Thursday of November, just in few hours, and move out from the previous apartment at the beginning of December, in less then 1 week.. I couldn't resist as the house is in the excellent shape, attic apartment is so cosy with positive vibes :) And the wooden floors and walls, amazing view from my window, the terrace with the stunning view with perspective of excellent parties.. Approximately 30 m2 big! And northern lights always visible from my room and terrace!!!!!!! Only when they appear on the sky I can be sure I will spot them, as the house is on the hill and 2nd floor is enough to be above all the light pollution and give possibility to admire clear and starry sky :)))
Just have a look at my morning view from the terrace. Awesome, isn't it? Excellent for a photographer and sensitive people that love to admire the beautify of the world! From my room I see the harbour, Mt. Esja, downtown Reykjavik and the west part of town, called Vesturbaer, as I have 3 windows facing 3 different directions :)
And for the first time I live outside 101 Reykjavik, but still in the central area, in the Old West town Vesturbaer. Only 10 minutes walk from my favourite pool Vesturbaerlaug and 15 minutes walk from Björk's house ;)
And this is my forth place since I moved to Iceland. As I have 2 bedrooms and a common living room with kitchen I will be sharing this cosy place with one more person.
Though in December I have it only for myself, I am enjoying to be on my own during snowy winter nights, observing amazing landscape, funny little birds coming to my terrace and learning how to survive during a storm in the wooden house.
I have a visitor at the moment staying at my place for 2 days, Lisa from Austria is my first guest at the new apartment. Looking forward to have some more visitors soon :)
I already made a housewarming party and invited over my closest friends last Friday. Really nice and cheerful event, I am so happy to have guests coming to my house :))) Finally, I feel more independent and more free. And I feel really inspired by my new old wooden house and the surrounding. Welcome to cosy and charming Reykjavik :)
