Icelandic Paska: Easter in summer house :)

I spent wonderful Easter time with my Polish friends in summer house away from Reykjavik. On Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday we were enjoying the nature in Munaðarnes in Borgarnes area, cooking and eating delicious and healthy food, spending a lot of time on chats in geothermal hot pot that belonged to our house, playing bord games, dancing.. and of course sightseeing and photographing. Wonderful and harmonious atmosphere, real chill out without alcohol, just enjoying this splendid time and company :)

During this 3 days I was feeling so good that in a natural way I just took up the decision to move out from my apartment in Grettisgata as soon as possible. In this clean surrounding and new wooden house appeared to be so obvious that... the allergy that was making me feel tired and dizzy in the mornings during last weeks was caused by the fungus on one of the walls of my flat. What's more I need more space for myself, common living room and clean kitchen, more democratic rules at the flat and also more everyday care about each others.. So I started to look for something more harmonious since that day.
And I found it very easily, I'm already moving out during upcoming weekend, 10th of May will be the special date :)

But coming back to the wonderful Easter time in Munaðarnes. We were only 5: Darek & Ola, Iza & Tomek and me, it was exactly what we needed at this moment. Peacefulness and positive energy  :)))
.. On Sunday we went for a trip to see Deildartunguhver, the biggest hot spring in Iceland near Borgarfjörður. It has a flow of about 180 litres of boiling water per second which emerges at 97 °C what makes it the highest-flow hot spring in Europe. Later we drove to Reykholt to see the old and new churches as well as the old hot pot nearby. Next stop was the amazing Barnafoss waterfall and Hraunfossar near Borgarfjörður, beautiful area of numerous waterfalls flowing out of lava field. Amazingly blue water coming from orange lava field, just have a look, it was such a stunning view! :)

And the weather was crazy and moody, snow mixed with intense sun, every half an hour shifting from one season to another. Still was quite warm, above 10 C, enough to be happy and feel the warm spring air, even despite enormous snow flakes falling down on our faces.. :)

And the food was delicious, mostly vegetarian! Excellent pumpkin soup, home made sweet buns, carrot pay a lot of green vegetables and eggs prepared in many ways..

Coming back from the summerhouse we drove around Borgarfjörður to see this beautiful fjord.
